Join the Department of Radiation Oncology at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Johnstown, PA, as a Medical Physicist working under Dr. Saiful Huq, a renowned leader in the field. Candidates should have an M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics or Medical Physics. ABR/ABMP Certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or Therapy Medical Physics is preferred but not required. Must meet qualified expert criteria as defined by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or Pennsylvania State regulatory agency. Opportunity for 1-2 days of remote work, with residence within commuting distance to Johnstown.
Opportunity Details:
- Provide comprehensive clinical medical physics services, including quality assurance of radiotherapy equipment, dosimetric calibration, compliance with radiation safety regulations, and support for advanced techniques like 4DCT and gated radiation therapy.
- Support from the UPMC Medical Physics Division.
- Collaborate within a network of over 30 medical physicists across the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center network.
- The goal is to expand advanced techniques across the network to deliver high-quality care locally.
