Base Pay Range

$25.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Work from anywhere in the state of IOWA. APPS Paramedical Services is the nation’s largest and most technologically advanced health examination and information provider. Our network of health professionals conducts physical examinations, testing (venipunctures, EKG, etc.), and personal health interviews. We serve the life insurance industry's leading providers (New York Life, Primerica, Principal, Northwestern Mutual, etc.) by providing physical examination and testing required for their policies to be underwritten.

We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented, currently or previously certified or licensed healthcare professionals (Critical care paramedics, RNs, LPNs, Certified MA, Phlebotomist, EMTs & non-CC Paramedics) to work your schedule and hours, cases, part- and full-time. Up to $50.00 per hour depending on the requirements of each case. This is a 1099G (Independent Contractor) position which means APPS does not provide benefits like health, SDI, vision, etc. insurance.

Responsibilities
  1. Performing mobile paramedical healthcare exams (health history, vitals, obtaining and completing specimens: blood, urine, etc.).
  2. Non-interpretive ECG tracings. ECG machines are not the examiner's responsibility to own.
  3. The ability to self-schedule your caseload; APPS sends you the case. You accept or decline - it's YOUR business.
  4. Must have strong and continued communication with the regional office's friendly staff regarding case status or any issues, needs, or conflicts that arise.
  5. Professional conduct is required at all times that is representative of the healthcare industry and the company that places its trust in you!
Minimum Requirements

Qualified candidates must have:

  1. Current licensure and a certificate of medical training are not required for this position (e.g., RN, LPN, Med Tech, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, and EMT/Paramedics).
  2. Previous certification/licensure or commensurate experience is required.
  3. Must have one year of recent phlebotomy experience and completed a minimum of 100 successful draws.
  4. Valid driver’s license and own transportation with valid insurance.
  5. Excellent communication, organization, and technical skills.
  6. The interpersonal skills to interface extensively with clients, management, and office staff, as well as a high level of courtesy, tact, and professionalism.
  7. A computer (preferably a laptop with a camera or a tablet) and a mobile phone.

Documentation standards are of paramount importance; any resume submitted with incorrect grammar or multiple spelling errors will not be considered.
