Job summary

The Eye Center of Southern Indiana is seeking a full-time consultative Optometrist to join a collaborative OD/MD team in Southern Indiana. You will work alongside experienced ophthalmic surgeons in a high-volume practice, handling cataract evaluations, IOL counseling, and management of glaucoma and other ocular diseases.

You will contribute to a busy surgical and medical eye care program, offering consults and referrals to optometrists within a trusted network.

Qualifications

• Full-time consultative Optometrist with licensure in good standing.
• Experience with cataract evaluations and premium IOL counseling preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with ophthalmic surgeons in a high-volume setting.
• Proficient in managing glaucoma and common ocular diseases.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-operative cataract evaluations and premium IOL counseling.
• Oversee post-operative care within a high-volume surgical program.
• Evaluate and manage glaucoma and other ocular diseases.
• Diagnose and manage retinal, oculoplastic, anterior segment conditions.
• Provide consultations and collaborative support for referring optometrists.

The Eye Center of Southern Indiana is seeking a full-time consultative Optometrist to join our collaborative and highly respected OD/MD team.

This is an exciting opportunity to practice at the full scope of your training within a busy secondary referral center and work directly alongside experienced ophthalmic surgeons. You’ll play an integral role in our high-volume surgical and medical eye care practice while managing a diverse range of complex ocular conditions.

What You'll Do

• Lead comprehensive pre-operative cataract evaluations and provide premium IOL counseling
• Manage post-operative care across a high-volume surgical program
• Evaluate and provide ongoing management for glaucoma and other ocular diseases
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of retinal, oculoplastic, anterior segment, and other ophthalmic conditions
• Provide consultations and collaborative support for our network of referring optometrists

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary starting at $160,000, commensurate with experience, plus a production-based bonus structure
