Job summary

AVP SEES Group is seeking an ophthalmology specialist to join a medically focused, referral-driven practice. The role emphasizes medical care and strong collaboration with ophthalmologists and referring optometrists, delivering high-quality care across a spectrum of eye diseases.

The ideal candidate holds an MD or DO with ophthalmology training, licensure-ready in Tennessee, and a commitment to professional excellence within a physician-led team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completed Ophthalmology Residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
• Active Tennessee medical license or ability to obtain before start date.
• DEA registration and unrestricted authority to prescribe medications.
• Strong diagnostic and surgical judgment with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative evaluation and counseling for cataract and refractive surgery.
• Post-operative management of surgical patients.
• Diagnosis and management of glaucoma with longitudinal care.
• Management of ocular surface disease and inflammatory conditions.
• Evaluation and treatment of medical eye conditions in a specialty setting.
