Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health in Connecticut seeks a Medical Optometrist to join a collaborative, medically focused team alongside ophthalmologists and clinical staff. The role centers on disease management rather than routine refractions, with 1–2 days per week at a nearby office.

You will perform comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, provide specialty contact lens services, and develop treatment plans to optimize long-term ocular health.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited program.
• Active or eligible CT state license.
• Experience in medical/clinical optometry.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Interest in collaborative care with surgeons and specialists.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and manage ocular diseases.
• Provide advanced contact lens services including scleral/hybrid lenses.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans for visual health.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists, technicians and admin staff for seamless care.
• Educate patients on ocular health and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and comply with standards.
• Stay current with advancements in optometric care.
