Job summary

SC Association of Counties is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster (medical only) to review and document medical-only workers' compensation claims for SC Counties Workers Compensation Trust. You will collaborate with medical providers and employers to facilitate the claims process and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of property and casualty adjuster experience, preferably with governmental entities, and may need to obtain SC licensure upon hire.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of property and casualty adjuster experience.
• Experience with county or governmental entities preferred.
• SC claims adjuster license preferred; may be required to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage medical-only workers' compensation claims to ensure timely delivery of necessary medical care and disposition of claim.
• Collaborate with medical providers, employers, and injured employees to facilitate the claims process
• Analyze and interpret medical reports and documentation
• Document claim activity and maintain accurate records
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to all stakeholders involved in the claims process
• Perform other duties as assigned.
