Job summary

Charleston Veterinary Referral Center (CVRC) in Charleston, SC, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join the Medical Oncology team. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule providing advanced care to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Ideal candidates will have a strong veterinary nursing foundation, excellent technical and organizational skills, and an interest in specialty medicine.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Oncology or specialty experience preferred.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and treatments for patients in medical oncology.
• Perform venipuncture, diagnostics, and administer medications via various routes.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring, imaging, surgical procedures, and other specialty procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and controlled substance logs.
• Follow protocols for safe handling and documentation of treatments.
• Monitor patients and communicate changes to veterinarians.
• Collaborate with team to support patient care.
