Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Hematology-Oncology Physician to join the St. George Cancer Center team in Utah. You’ll collaborate with 10 medical oncologists, providing integrated cancer care and participating in an expansive clinical program with extensive on-site resources.

The role requires MD/DO with Internal Medicine training, board certification or eligibility in oncology/hematology, and Utah license or the ability to obtain one. Visa sponsorship considered on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school.
• Internal Medicine residency completed.
• Board certification or eligibility in medical oncology or hematology/oncology.
• Utah medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of 10 medical oncologists to provide high-quality care and patient experience.
• Inpatient oncology services managed by our team on a call rotation.
• Part of Intermountain Health’s integrated oncology program.
• On-site infusion lab, therapeutic radiology, and DNA-sequencing lab supporting cancer care.

About this role

As a Hematology- Oncology Physician you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will work in partnership with a team of 10 medical oncologists to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with and have support from APPs, administrative leadership, MAs, RNs, front office support and more.

• This position includes a$50,000sign-on bonus, up to$20,000in relocation assistance, $36,000 residency stipend if applicable, and$75,000in student loan repayment when applicable
• You will practice at St. George Cancer Center
• Physician will be part of Intermountain's integrated oncology program
• Inpatient oncology services are managed by our team on a call rotation
• Full-service infusion lab on site
• Therapeutic radiology on site
• DNA-sequencing lab, and all the local cancer services are housed in the new Intermountain Cancer Center (opened 2018) on the Dixie Regional Medical Center River Road Campus
• Cancer Center is certified by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer
• Medicare accredited hospice
