Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Breast Medical Oncologist to join the Intermountain Medical Group in the Salt Lake Valley. You will treat breast cancer patients in outpatient settings with inpatient consult responsibilities and collaborate with an integrated care team including oncology nurses and palliative services.

Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO, are board certified or eligible in hematology/medical oncology, and possess or can obtain Utah licensure and DEA.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
• US ACGME residency training
• Board Certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
• Active Utah medical license or ability to obtain one
• Prescriptive authority and DEA license or ability to obtain one
• Credentialing through Intermountain Health

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinical practice with inpatient consult responsibilities
• Inpatient oncology services managed by hospitalists
• Collaborate with Oncology nurses and palliative care teams
• Engage in breast cancer research including clinical trials
• Participation in credentialing process and potential visa review

About this role:

As a Breast Medical Oncologist, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality cancer care and excellent patient experience.

• Practice focus in breast cancer
• Opportunity for breast cancer research focus including clinical trials
• Outpatient clinical practice with inpatient consult responsibilities
• Inpatient oncology services are managed by hospitalist service
• Team approached care with integrated Oncology nurse navigators
• Outpatient and inpatient palliative care team support
• Employment position with the Intermountain Medical Group
• Incentives: $50,000.00 sign-on bonus, $75,000.00 student loan assistance (if applicable), $36,000.00 residency stipend (if applicable) and up to $20,000.00 relocation allowance (if applicable).
• Practice location will include Intermountain Medical Center and Salt Lake Valley clinic sites

What you’ll bring:

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• U.S. ACGME Residency Training Program
• Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
• Candidates requiring Visa sponsorship will be reviewed on an individual basis
