Atrium Health Navicent Specialty Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP) or Physician Assistant to join our Colorectal Surgery team in a hybrid clinic, operating room, and inpatient setting.

The role offers a collaborative group of six physicians and two APPs with no call and no weekend coverage, plus an early Friday schedule. This environment supports work-life balance and professional growth within a strong colorectal surgery program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Acute Care NP certification or Physician Assistant certification.
• Eligible for Georgia licensure and hospital privileges.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Conduct patient evaluations and follow-up visits in the outpatient clinic.
• Participate in inpatient rounds and management of colorectal surgery patients.
• Assist surgeons in the operating room.
• Coordinate patient care across the continuum of treatment.

Position Overview

Atrium Health Navicent Specialty Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care NP) or Physician Assistant to join our growing Colorectal Surgery team. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to practice across the clinic, operating room, and inpatient settings while working alongside a highly collaborative group of six physicians and two APPs. The APP will provide comprehensive support to the Colorectal Surgery team, assisting with patient care before, during, and after surgical treatment.

Position Highlights

• Full-time (1.0 FTE)
• Hybrid inpatient and outpatient practice
• Day shift schedule
• Clinic Hours:
  • Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Assist surgeons in clinic, the operating room, and inpatient care settings
• Approximately two operating room days per week with up to eight surgical cases
• Average inpatient census/admissions of five patients per provider
• Hospital privileges required at Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant certification
• Eligible for Georgia licensure
• Eligible for hospital privileges
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Previous surgical, colorectal, oncology, or inpatient experience is preferred but not required
