Job summary

Washington Gastroenterology is seeking a Full-time Clinical Assistant to join our Bellevue clinic location. This entry-level role offers growth, healthcare exposure, and MA-R path opportunities for motivated individuals with medical office experience or education.

The Clinical Assistant will greet patients, collect vitals, document health history, educate patients, and support both clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced gastroenterology setting.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Medical office education preferred.
• MA-R licensure preferred or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• CPR certification preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One year clinical and/or medical office experience required or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare them for examination, including vitals collection.
• Update and document patient medications, allergies, health history in the medical record.
• Provide patient education and guidance on procedures and tests.
• Handle routine clinic in-box requests.
• Support administrative functions and assist staff as needed.
• Schedule procedures, labs, X-ray and follow-up visits when appropriate.
• Document all patient encounters accurately and timely.
• Maintain exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Identify safety concerns and notify the Clinic Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
