Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Cocoa Outpatient Center is seeking a Medical Office Associate to support front office operations and help ensure accurate patient intake, registration, payments and scheduling.

The MOA will work with a diverse patient population to keep patient flow optimum and billing information accurate. Responsibilities focus on patient registration, customer service, and maintaining efficient clinic throughput in a full-time, daytime role at Hershey, PA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience working in a medical office preferred.
• Six (6) months of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide front office support to the clinical operations team and ensure smooth patient flow.
• Handle patient intake, registration, and scheduling with accuracy.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Medical Office Associate provides front office support to the clinical operations team, and works with a diverse patient population to ensure accuracy of patient intake, registration, payments, and scheduling. Duties include, answering and screening telephone calls, scheduling appointments, entering patient charges, payments along with third party billing information and other pertinent information. The priorities of the MOA position are patient registration, customer service and ensuring patient flow is optimal.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Prior experience working in a medical office preferred
• Six (6) months of customer service experience preferred
