Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or Equivalent or 5 years' experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Exceptional computer skills and the ability to quickly master multiple programs.
  • Knowledge of business and office machines such as fax, telephone, computer and printer, copier as well as reception skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors.
  • Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
  • Manage phone calls and messages professionally.
  • Verify orders and register patients accurately.
  • Handle no-shows and late arrivals.
  • Verify insurance, collect payments, and obtain authorizations.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Enter charges and manage work queues.
  • Update scheduling templates as needed.
  • Compile data for reporting and performance tracking.
  • Order and maintain supplies efficiently.
