Job Summary
Supports various practice aspects, including charge entry and collection of co-payments at the time of service. Assists the physician in maintaining efficient patient flow. Under the direction of a Physician/Physician Assistant, performs clerical and patient support duties such as scheduling, reception, telephone communication, data entry, and exam room and medical chart preparation. Coordinates with managed care plans to obtain prior authorization to ensure reimbursement. Reports to the Manager for office duties and to physicians for clinical and patient care responsibilities. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care according to policies, procedures, protocols, and Arizona validated competencies.
