Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for examination and treatment, take vital signs.
• May assist in minor surgery; prepare sterile trays and instruments.
• Obtain lab specimens and operate basic lab equipment.
• Perform EKGs and basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Change sterile dressings and remove sutures.
• Administer injections and assist with patient care.
