Job summary

Blessing Health System is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision in a clinic setting. The MOA carries out delegated duties from the medical provider and supports multiple age populations from neonate to geriatric.

This role emphasizes adherence to mission and core values and contributes to performance improvement and patient safety. Non-exempt hourly position with pay rate based on experience.

Qualifications

• Education/Training/Experience: REQUIRED: High School graduate or equivalent.
• Certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (CPR) upon hire.
• Completion of the 12 Medical Terminology CBLs within the first 3 months of hire.
• Completion of Injection Administration training and competency within the first month.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision in a clinic setting.
• Carry out duties delegated by the medical provider and assist with patient care across age groups (neonate to geriatric).

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients under the supervision of a Physician / Advanced Practice Nurse / Physician Assistant in a clinic setting. Under the direction and supervision of the medical provider, the MOA is to carry out any duties delegated and requested by the medical provider.

This position may require providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Corporate Services. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of performanceimprovement process and patient safety plan.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

High School graduate or equivalent.

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
