The Medical Office Assistant II serves as the first point of contact for patients within the Bassett Healthcare Network. This key role in the patient-centered care team demonstrates excellence in all patient and customer encounters, including face-to-face and telephone interactions. You will provide administrative support to ambulatory care teams, ensuring a high-quality patient experience through excellent customer service, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include communicating clearly and accurately with nurses and providers, scheduling patients efficiently, collecting demographic and financial information, and possibly handling revenue through payment collection and insurance processing. You may also train new staff members and act as a subject matter expert in various functions such as Scheduling, Registration, and Referrals.
