Job Description - Medical Office Assistant - CPG MedWELL Urgent Care (7479-9855)

Conemaugh Physician Group is seeking a full-time Medical Office Assistant for the CPG - MedWELL Urgent Care in Johnstown, PA. The MOA is responsible for providing excellent customer service and guidance to all patients within the CPG physician office, ensuring quality healthcare and patient satisfaction across a diverse patient population, from children to geriatrics.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Answer phones
  • Complete registration process
  • Triaging patients and refilling medications
  • Check-out patients and schedule follow-up appointments
  • Fax paperwork, handle inner office and postal mail
  • Collect co-payments and accurately post to patient accounts
  • Verify successful transmission of labs/results into the EMR
  • End-of-day processing
  • Scan paperwork into patient’s EMR
  • Complete daily office tasks before close of business
  • Handle medication authorizations
  • Travel to satellite locations as needed
Job Qualifications:
Education:
  • Required: High school diploma
  • Preferred: Certification as Medical Office Assistant
Experience:
  • Required: Experience in a medical setting, such as a physician office or clinic
  • Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in a medical office
Certification/Licensure/Registration:
  • Preferred: MOA or Medical Assistant certification; CPR certification
