Position Overview
In a clerical role, the Medical Office Assistant serves as the customer service liaison for our practices. The role involves greeting patients courteously, ensuring a seamless experience by following UHS policies on registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing. In a clinical capacity, the medical assistant performs patient care tasks under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers.

Compensation Range:
$15.61 - $23.45 per hour, depending on experience
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or direct patient care experience, including collection of patient information, patient interactions, or assisting physicians with procedures.
Preferred:
- Experience in walk-in/primary care/specialty care settings
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
- Strong clerical skills with excellent computer proficiency
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- Current CPR certification within one week of employment
