Job summary

Mississippi HomeCare, part of LHC Group and a member of the Optum family, is seeking an Office Assistant to support leadership with routine clerical tasks, scheduling, and data entry.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Computer skills and ability to type.
• General clerical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine clerical/office tasks, answer calls, and deliver messages.
• Pull, review, and follow up on reports of orders recert and unverified visits.
• Maintain an up-to-date medical record by scanning documents timely and completing EOE audits as appropriate.
• Complete discharge chart reviews, perform audits, process orders to/from physicians, and track for timely receipt.
• Communicate professionally within the organization and with external sources (physicians, patients, family members, referral sources, etc.)
