**Responsibilities**

CHI St. Alexius is looking for a Full-Time Nurse Assistant to join the Medical team!

$3,000 Sign-On Bonus eligible

The Nurse Assistant assists nursing staff in delivering individual patient care for patients assigned to the unit, following the unit policies and procedures. Maintains standards of nursing practice in accordance with the mission, values, and philosophy of St. Alexius Medical Center. All duties and standards outlined will be performed according to the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the Medical Center.

**What You'll Do:**

  1. Adhere to St. Alexius Medical Center's mission, values, and Journey Beyond Excellence expectations to foster a compassionate, healing environment, providing physiological, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and visitors.
  2. Ensure quality of care by following St. Alexius Medical Center policies and regulations from governing agencies.
  3. Assist with patients' personal hygiene, including giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves, and assisting with toileting and bathing.
  4. Support activities of daily living such as feeding, ambulating, and positioning patients.
  5. Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs, weight, and intake/output, and report any concerns or changes to the assigned nurse.
  6. Respond promptly to patients' call lights, maintain a safe and clean environment.
  7. Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  8. Successfully complete the defined job-specific competencies, including those for age-specific care, as appropriate.

**Qualifications**

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience, including the ability to read, write, and understand medical terminology.
  • Licensure: Must be listed on a Nurse Assistant Registry operated by the North Dakota Board of Nursing. If not listed, must obtain placement immediately following orientation and training, as per policy “Eligibility for Employment as Nurse Assistant”.

**Pay Range:**

$15 - $19.81/hour
