Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Medical Malpractice Litigation Associate to join a nationally recognized firm with strong insurance, government, and complex litigation practices. The role offers a competitive base salary with a strong bonus structure and opportunities for growth across California offices.

You will manage a diverse caseload, work on high-profile matters, and gain exposure to insurance coverage and professional liability work with training provided.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Must be licensed to practice law in CA.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in litigation.
• Proven trial experience and a strong record of successful case resolution.
• Expert knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical malpractice laws.
• Federal court admissions in Central / Southern Districts are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage a diverse caseload of medical malpractice claims, including insurance defense, elder abuse, and catastrophic injury cases.
• Conduct thorough and detailed investigations to identify potential legal issues and develop effective defense strategies.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, demonstrating exceptional trial advocacy skills.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, expert witnesses, and other legal professionals to build compelling defense cases.
• Provide legal advice to clients on risk management and malpractice prevention, ensuring they are kept informed of case progress and legal developments.
