Job summary

Hancock Daniel in Richmond, VA is seeking a litigation attorney for an on-site role. You’ll handle meaningful, hands-on litigation from the start, including case evaluation, client interaction, and collaboration with experienced partners.

You’ll engage with medical experts, draft pleadings and motions, manage discovery and trial prep, and gain courtroom exposure for growth as a litigator. Mentorship and substantive experience are provided.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and Virginia license (or waivable).
• 3–10 years of litigation experience, preferably medical malpractice or civil defense.
• Strong research and writing skills; ability to learn medical terminology.
• Commitment to exceptional client service and ongoing learning.

At the time of posting, the expected hiring range for this position is $115,000 to $175,000. An individual’s placement within the range will be determined based on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, training, skills, licensure and certifications, practice area, experience, internal equity, and market data.
