Jobot is seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney at the counsel level in the Atlanta area. The role offers immediate exposure to high-stakes healthcare litigation and case management from inception to resolution in a collaborative, trial-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a J.D., be admitted to the Georgia Bar, and bring 7+ years of civil litigation experience (preferably in medical malpractice or insurance defense) with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Georgia Bar license required.
• 7+ years of civil litigation experience (medical malpractice or insurance defense preferred).
• Experience with motion practice, depositions, and case management.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage files in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of medical malpractice defense litigation, including case evaluation, strategy development, and trial preparation.
• Manage an active caseload involving physicians, hospitals, and healthcare systems.
• Draft and argue pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Take and defend fact and expert depositions, including medical experts.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials across Georgia.
• Analyze medical records and work with expert witnesses to develop defense strategies.
• Communicate directly with clients, insurers, and healthcare professionals to provide case updates and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on high-exposure matters.
