Job summary

NACBA is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of medical malpractice litigation defense experience in New York. You will join our Medical Malpractice Defense Department and work closely with partners to handle complex litigation from discovery through trial.

The successful candidate is a self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills, capable of managing multiple matters and coordinating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• 2–4 years of medical malpractice litigation defense experience.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel to NYC venues and surrounding counties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Handle discovery tasks, including depositions.
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in court proceedings.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
