  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the legal profession.
  • Experience billing for your time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a comprehensive caseload of medical malpractice claims from initial assessment to final resolution.
  • Consult with experts to assess the standard of care and determine whether a breach occurred.
  • Identify, research, and analyze complex legal issues and conflicting legal opinions.
  • Communicate with clients, insurance company contacts, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progression and address concerns.
  • Prioritize assignments and competing deadlines.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Represent clients in arbitration proceedings.
  • Argue motions to secure favorable rulings.
  • Attend in-person and virtual court appearances.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, staff members, and partners on legal projects.
