Job summary

The University of Mississippi Medical Center Library seeks a Librarian to provide information services supporting clinical care, education, and research. You will help users locate, evaluate, and use information, manage collections and digital resources, and promote information literacy through instruction and outreach.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in library science and two years of academic/health sciences library experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library science or LIS.
• Two years of library experience in academic, health sciences, or research library.
• Proficiency with biomedical databases and systematic search methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced literature searches to support clinical care, education and research.
• Provide evidence-based information and reference support to physicians, researchers, students and staff.
• Develop search strategies for systematic/scoping reviews and manage results.
• Teach biomedical databases and information literacy through classes and consultations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support evidence-based practice.
