Pride Health is seeking a Medical Librarian (Clinical Research Specialist) in Bronx, NY, for a 2-month contract with a strong extension possibility. The role requires a Master’s degree in Library or Information Science and at least 3 years of professional library experience.

• Support Residency, Fellowship, and GME programs with research needs.
• Provide guidance on medical literature, scholarly resources, and electronic information tools.
• Monitor trends in medical librarianship, research support, and electronic resources.

Job description

Job Title: Medical Librarian (Clinical Research Specialist)

Location: Bronx, NY 10451

Contract: 2 months with strong possibility of extension

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Education: Master’s Degree required — preferably MLIS/Library Science/Information Science

Pay range: $30-$35/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations, services, and resources of the Medical Library.
• Provide reference and research assistance to physicians, residents, fellows, students, and medical staff.
• Conduct literature searches and retrieve relevant medical, clinical, and academic information.
• Assist users with electronic medical and academic databases.
• Maintain and support library management/cataloging systems.
• Help users locate reliable, evidence-based medical information for research and educational purposes.
• Support residency, fellowship, and Graduate Medical Education programs with research and information needs.
• Provide guidance on medical literature, scholarly resources, and electronic information tools.
• Monitor and stay current with trends in medical librarianship, research support, scholarly communication, and electronic resources.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressively responsible professional library experience.
