Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Mississippi seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to utilize laboratory skills to perform and report results of clearly defined procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. You will be responsible for assigned shifts and overtime as required.

You will receive, identify, organize and prioritize specimens, perform procedures, maintain QC, participate in proficiency testing, instrument maintenance and inventory control.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or Medical Technology (MT) from an accredited program.
• National certification in concordance with current Federal and/or State regulations (e.g., ASCP).
• Clinical Laboratory Experience.

Responsabilidades

• Receives, identifies, organizes, and prioritizes specimens for accurate test processing.
• Performs and reports requested laboratory procedures.
• Performs quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance, and inventory control.
• Evaluates positive patient identification to reduce errors.
• Assesses and draws appropriate conclusions.
• Supports lifelong learning.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Provides instruction for personnel and medical technology students, as required.
