Job summary

The Valley Health System in Southern Nevada is seeking a Medical Technologist to analyze laboratory specimens and report results per protocol. This role also acts as a resource for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants and supports the Lead Medical Technologist.

Applicants should have a BSMT(ASCP) or equivalent, with Nevada licensure, and at least 3 years of experience preferred. New grads must obtain NV licensure within the required timeframe; strong attention to detail and teamwork

Qualifications

• BSMT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA'88.
• Three (3) years of as Medical Technologist is preferred.
• New CLS graduates must receive certification within 6 months of hire.
• New graduates or applicants without NV license must obtain NV provisional license before hire and permanent license on expiration.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and skills for high quality patient care (age competency) and possess good organization and people skills.
