Cherry Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist I responsible for performing both moderate and high complexity laboratory tests. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a comparable field and emphasizes adherence to CAP regulatory standards while producing reliable test results for patient care and treatment.
Cherry Hospital is currently accepting applications for a Medical Laboratory Technologist I. Reporting to the Clinical Laboratory, this position is responsible for a wide variety of both moderate and high complexity laboratory tests. Professional judgment is required for this role. The person will be responsible for producing accurate and reliable test results that contribute to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of physiological and pathological conditions. This position is for a generalist with responsibility as a lead technologist in one of the specialist areas in the laboratory. CAP regulatory standards will be followed and adhered to. Cherry Hospital performs Hematology/Urinalysis, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, and Miscellaneous manual tests.

Bachelor's degree in medical technology, chemistry, or biological science from an accredited institution
OR
Associate degree in medical technology plus two years of laboratory experience
OR
Completion of a Certified Laboratory Assistant course in medical technology
OR
A comparable course plus three years of laboratory experience
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
