Job summary

The Valley Health System provides specialized laboratory services across Southern Nevada with a network of hospitals and laboratories. The role focuses on analyzing specimens, reporting results, and supporting laboratory staff to maintain high standards of patient care.

Qualified candidates will have Nevada licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and ASCP or equivalent certification, plus a few years of experience as a Medical Technologist.

Qualifications

• BSMT(ASCP) or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88.
• Three (3) years of experience as Medical Technologist preferred.
• Nevada State Licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist; ASCP or equivalent board registration/education required to satisfy Nevada License requirements must be maintained.
• New CLS graduates must receive certification within 6 months of hire.
• New graduates or applicants without NV license must obtain NV provisional license prior to hire and a permanent license upon expiration.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and reporting results according to laboratory protocol and procedures.
• Acts as a resource for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Lab Assistants.
• Supports and assists Lead Medical Technologist.
