Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT/Scientist) to join our team! You will be responsible for performing medical tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.

Note: Our 24/7 hospitals require staff to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, with some departments rotating through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities:

1. Collect and organize blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples from patients
2. Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis
3. Accurately record results for further analysis and easy reference
4. Monitor inventory of samples and supplies
5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
6. Work under the supervision of a medical technologist

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a clinical technician or in related fields
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Laboratory experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be ASCP certified
• Degree or sufficient science credits to qualify for ASCP (provide copy of degree or transcripts)
• Copy of MLT certification from an approved organization such as ASCP, AMT, or NCA
• BLS certification (American Heart Association approved) - initial certification not required
• Flu vaccination within the past year - initial vaccination not required

Pay rate: $32/hr plus benefits including paid holidays, 80 hours of vacation, 56 hours of sick leave, health/dental/vision insurance, and short/long-term and life insurance. A $1000 sign-on bonus is offered after working the first 30 days.
