Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology is required.
• Eligibility for certification as Medical Laboratory Technician by a recognized certifying agency.
• Ability to perform laboratory tests in hematology, microbiology, immunology, chemistry and urinalysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical laboratory tests and analyses in hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis.
• Analyze samples of biological material for chemical content or reaction.
• Perform chemical analysis of body fluids to determine normal and abnormal components.
• Culture, isolate, identify organisms; prepare slides for microscopic study and diagnosis.
• Prepare specimens/media for cell culture; study blood samples for cell counts and compatibility for transfusion.
