SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison is seeking a PRN Medical Laboratory Technician to join the Laboratory - Hematology team. You’ll perform specimen processing and participate in routine lab testing to support accurate diagnostics.
Under supervision, you’ll work across departments (Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology or Molecular), maintain safety standards, and support quality control and instrument calibration.

Our Medical Laboratory Technicians perform specimen processing and some laboratory testing to help diagnose and monitor blood disorders, providing accurate, timely results that are essential to patient care and treatment decisions.

Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Laboratory Supervisor or Manager, Non-Certified Lab Technicians perform routine and complex technical laboratory analyses in a dedicated laboratory department (Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology or Molecular) using established procedures and protocols. Performs chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Must have applicable training if working across multiple interdependent departments in the laboratory.
