Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital in Bluefield, WV is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform and analyze tests across laboratory disciplines in compliance with licensure and SOPs.

The role requires an AS or AS degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science and WV HCTP or trainee license. Preferred certification by ASCP/AMT and experience as a medical laboratory technician. This is an on-site position at the PCH Laboratory in Bluefield.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate of Science degree in Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Technology or related science.
• Must possess current licensure as required by the state where services will be provided (WV HCTP or Trainee License).
• Preferred: ASCP or AMT Medical Laboratory Technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze clinical laboratory tests within scope of licensure.
• Set up, run, maintain, and adjust laboratory instruments per procedures.
• Perform quality control and review results for accuracy and precision.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures when needed and document findings.
• Communicate results to nurses/physicians and collaborate with healthcare team.
