Job summary

Freeman Health System in West Virginia is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician to join the laboratory team. You will perform high complexity testing and support patient diagnosis under the supervision of a Medical Technologist.

Qualifications

• High Complexity Testing requirement: earned Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology.
• License as Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
• Must meet CLIA 88 Standards for performing complex testing.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Medical Technologist, responsible for performing laboratory tests and analysis to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Education

Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology

MLS/CLS/MT certification (preferred)

• Freeman West results over 3.53 million tests a year and issues over 550 units of blood each month
• Other Labs at Freeman include the Cornell Beshore Cancer Institute Lab and Freeman Neosho Laboratory
• Draw stations are located inside Freeman East, the Bentlage Building and the Women’s Pavilion

Schedule

• Full Time (40hrs/week), 2nd and 3rd shifts available.
• 2nd shift (3 PM - 11:30 PM) with weekend and holiday rotation.
• 3rd shift (11 PM - 7:30 AM) with weekend and holiday rotation.

What You'll Do
