Job summary

MUSC Health Florence Medical Center in Florence, SC is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our laboratory team full-time. The role includes performing routine and specialized diagnostic tests, preparing specimens, operating automated instruments, and ensuring quality control.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited/NAACLS approved program for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
• Certification within 1 year (ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW).
• 1–2 years experience preferred; new grads welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested; prepares specimens for testing and operates automated instrumentation.
• Performs quality control and assurance procedures and records lab results in the system.
• Follows HIPAA privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.
