Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples, following standardized procedures and preparing specimens for analysis.

This role analyzes results for accuracy and critical limits, with an evening shift. An Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology is required, and certification by ASCP-BOC or equivalent is needed within the first year if not already current.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent is required or must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Evening shift availability may be required.
