Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a capable medical laboratory professional to support high-quality clinical testing. You will prepare specimens, run routine tests, and perform quality control and instrument maintenance while identifying data issues and troubleshooting equipment.

The role includes training peers, continuing education participation, and recognizing normal vs. abnormal results, with certification expectations within the first year if not already held.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related medical or scientific discipline.
• Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP BOC or equivalent; if not certified, certification must be obtained within the first year.
• Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP BOC or equivalent; if not certified, certification must be obtained within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Supports high quality laboratory testing in a clinical laboratory.
• Prepares specimens for testing and performs routine laboratory tests.
• Performs quality control and maintenance procedures.
