Job summary

Essentia Health in Superior, WI is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join the team at St. Mary's Hospital Superior.

The role includes performing and reporting tests across CLIA complexity, phlebotomy as needed, QA/QC, instrumentation maintenance, and customer service, with day/evening shifts and weekend responsibilities; full benefits and ongoing professional development provided.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required or CLIA equivalent alternative route.
• MLS requires four-year CLS degree or ASCP MLS certification with 2 years lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report tests of all complexity levels as defined by CLIA for patients of all ages.
• Participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• May perform phlebotomy and specimen processing duties.
• Interpret and correlate test results with disease states and clinical knowledge.
