Job summary

Essentia Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist for Fosston Hospital, Fosston, MN. Position is 0.8 FTE with day/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

MLT requires an associate degree in MLT or CLIA qualification; MLS requires CLS degree or MLS (ASCP) certification with lab experience. Competitive compensation with benefits and bonus eligibility for external candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or CLIA equivalent.
• Four-year CLS degree or MLS/ASCP certification with lab experience.

Responsibilities

• MLT: perform and report tests across all CLIA levels for patients of all ages.
• MLS: interpret and correlate test results and monitor quality systems.
• May perform phlebotomy and specimen processing.
• Participate in QA, QC, instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting, and education.
