Job summary

Freeman Health is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform high-complexity tests under supervision of a Medical Technologist. Responsibilities include conducting tests and analyses to support diagnosis, treatment and disease prevention.

Eligible candidates will hold an Associate’s degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology, be licensed as an MLT, and meet CLIA requirements. MLS/CLS/MT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High Complexity Testing requirement: earned Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology.
• License as Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
• Must meet CLIA 88 Standards for performing complex testing.
• Preferred: Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Technologist (MT).

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Medical Technologist, responsible for performing laboratory tests and analysis to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
