Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• MLT certification eligibility under Medical Lab Technicians regulations.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids to determine components.
• Studies and evaluates blood cells and morphology.
• Performs blood group, type and compatibility testing.
• Analyzes test results and enters findings in LIS system.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on instruments.
• Verifies instrument function and documents data.
• Trains and supervises students as needed.
• Adheres to COLA/CLIA guidelines and hospital standards.
• Travels as required to campuses and clinics with valid Texas license.
