Shift: Full-Time, Nights

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) assists with laboratory testing on patient specimens, providing information for diagnosis and treatment under supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining records, exercising independent judgment, and adhering to standard operating procedures. The role may involve developing and modifying procedures and additional duties as assigned by management or the laboratory director.

• Bachelor's degree in a related science (certification not required); or an Associate Degree from an approved Medical Laboratory Technician program, or a Medical Laboratory Specialist certification from an official military course of at least 50 weeks.
• Associate degree holders must obtain certification (NCA, AMT, ASCP, HEW, CLA) within 12 months of employment; failure to do so may result in job downgrade or termination.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, testing equipment, and routine maintenance.
• Ability to maintain quality control records and operate computers.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and protocols.
