Job summary

Live Well Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform analyses and report results across multiple specimen sources. You will follow established procedures to ensure accuracy, manage specimens, and support quality control efforts in a clinical lab setting.

Qualifications

Job description

Join our team as a Medical Laboratory Technician, performing and reporting various analyses on multiple specimen sources to deliver high-quality laboratory services.

Responsibilities include:

• Obtaining accurate results by following established procedures and managing multiple processes efficiently.
• Handling specimens properly, confirming identification, and using proper accessioning techniques.
• Recognizing discrepancies, resolving issues, and documenting instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Replenishing supplies, following reporting protocols, and navigating computer applications.
• Assisting in training new employees and participating in educational activities to maintain current knowledge.

Qualifications and skills:

• Associate’s degree in a laboratory science and certification or eligibility as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
• Proficiency in laboratory procedures, attention to detail, and ability to work in a clinical environment.
• Military experience in relevant medical laboratory roles is welcomed.
• This is a union position working night shifts, with every other weekend and holiday rotations.
