Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Plano is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to perform routine and complex tests across toxicology, chemistry, hematology, microbiology and more, ensuring accurate results for patient care.

The candidate will hold an MLT certification (ASCP or AMT) within 6 months of hire, possess an Associate Degree, and have hospital experience; join a facility with comprehensive benefits and a strong commitment to quality and patient outcomes.

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and/or microbiology.
• Produce accurate results across hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other designated areas.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment, and monitoring quality control measures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• You will produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated.
• You will maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and monitoring quality control measures and protocols.

What qualifications you will need:

• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification (ASCP or AMT) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Associate Degree
• At least one year hospital experience is preferred
