Job summary

Medical City Denton, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine and complex tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology to support patient diagnosis.

You will maintain quality controls, calibrate equipment, and collaborate with clinical staff. Qualifications include MLT certification within 6 months, an associate degree, and hospital experience preferred.

• MLT certification (ASCP or AMT) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Associate Degree is required
• At least one year hospital experience is preferred

• Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated.

Job Summary:

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will perform chemical, bacteriological, serological and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• You will produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated.
• You will maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and monitoring quality control measures and protocols.

What qualifications you will need:

• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification (ASCP or AMT) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Associate Degree
• At least one year hospital experience is preferred
