Job Summary:

Filos Health Lab is seeking a skilled and detail-orientedMedical Lab Technician (MLT)to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The MLT will ensure accuracy, maintain laboratory equipment, and adhere to safety protocols while delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, chemistry, immunology, and urinalysis.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, microscopes, analyzers).
• Prepare specimens for analysis, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
• Follow strict safety and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile work environment.
• Accurately record and report test results using laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Assist in quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with lab instruments.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information.
• Maintain inventory of lab supplies and reagents, placing orders as needed.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and participate in continuing education.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education:Associate degree or certification in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited program.
• Certification:ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification preferred (or eligibility to obtain).
• Experience:1+ years of experience in a clinical lab setting (new graduates with strong internship experience may be considered).
• Technical Skills:Proficiency in lab equipment, LIS software, and standard lab procedures.
• Attention to Detail:High accuracy in testing and documentation.
• Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Compliance:Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced clinical laboratory setting with potential exposure to biohazards.
• Requires standing for long periods and handling sensitive equipment.
• May involve occasional weekend/evening shifts depending on lab needs.
