Job description

As one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations in the world, we have four Early Phase Clinical Research Units in the UK and US.

We are currently seeking a Lab Technician to interact directly with our healthy volunteer participants, learn to read clinical research protocols, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Each day offers exposure to a wide variety of therapeutic indications and study types (ascending dose, first-in-human, food effect, drug-to-drug interactions, etc.).

This is a full-time, office/clinic-based job in Dallas, TX.

If you join us, you will work with some of the world's leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies during a vital stage of clinical development: establishing the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of new drugs.

Many are drawn to this profession because of its direct impact on patient care. Working in Phase 1 trials allows you to practice your clinical skills and knowledge, be involved with the latest medical technologies and treatments, and witness their development firsthand. When the drug you worked with gets approved, you will have touched many patients' lives worldwide.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

You will utilize your skills, knowledge, and clinical judgment to provide high-standard clinical research care.

Other key responsibilities:
  • Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing.
  • Operate laboratory equipment.
  • Recognize deviations from expected results and follow up appropriately.
  • Process and ship PK samples according to study-specific instructions.
  • Participate in the collection of biological specimens.
  • Evaluate and resolve problems related to specimen collection and processing.
  • Facilitate workflow in the laboratory to ensure timely processing.
  • Operate and utilize all available communication systems in the laboratory, including telephones, copiers, facsimile machines, and pagers.
  • Maintain and clean laboratory equipment.
  • Inventory reagents and supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Handle hazardous materials, reagents, and chemicals safely, following laboratory policies.
  • Wash laboratory glassware and maintain general cleanliness.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Support and participate in quality system initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
YOU NEED TO BRING...
  • At least 1 year of laboratory experience.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where deviations from study protocols are not allowed and timelines are strict.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
